Obedience training not only teaches your dog to sit,down, stand, come, stay and walk on a loose lead, it also promotes thecommunication between owner and dog so there is a greater understandingfrom both ends of the lead. These commands are learned with thedistractions of other dogs and people to enhance control. We teachhand signals and verbal commands and work towards the dogresponding without the use of rewards.
The course also teaches exercises, which are practicalto your everyday activities with your dog like street walks, and goodmanners around the home. A full aptitude test is completed by you whichgives us vital information on your dog's true and learnedbehaviors, this enhances our strategies to help you problem solve yourdog's behaviour. Don't forget our "fun attitude" we have here atWagtails, we also teach tricks, play games and do agility in thiscourse.
In a group of up to 12 people (outdoors) 10 people (indoors) each lesson runs for 1 hour per week for a period of 8 weeks.

Where owners learn how to manage their dog's aggression......

Owning an aggressive dog can be a lot of hard work. Asimple walk down the street becomes an exhaustive, non-enjoyable timethat you would rather put off or only walk your dog at 3.00am in themorning when no-one else is around.
If you would like more confidence in handling this typeof dog, or would like to manage your dog's aggression to the pointwhere the aggression is virtually gone - then this is the course foryou.
This 6-week course is for dog owners to learn techniquesto stop or manage their dogs aggression levels. Emphasis is placed onbehaviour managment, training techniques and learning body language. Small classes sizes of 4 dogs per class with two instructors workingwith you virtually one-on-one.

Our Agility course is designed to introduce your dog toequipment used in ANKC or similar agility competitions. The course alsohelps you the owner control your dog around a course using handsignals, body language to ensure you get the fastest, most accurateresponse from your dog. This is an off-lead course so level 1 & 2are recommended.
Agility courses run for 8 weeks - 45 minutes each week - $165.00 Per dog .
