Flick is our Daycare Manager and she looks after all the dogs that come to "Wags Day Out". Flick is also responsible for all the assessments of new dogs, daycare activities and staff within the centre. Her love for dogs is shown everyday by the way each and every dog responds to her with trust and respect.

Flick came to Oz Wagtails three years ago whilst undergoing her "Dog Instructor/trainers" course, seeking knowlegde in the areas of clicker training and positive reinforcement. Training her Alaskan Malamute in areas of basic obedience she found that she loved this method of training and seeked further training through level 2 and then onto Advance and Agility. Now both Flick and her dog, Inuk are competing in Dog Dancing (Canine Freestyle) and also obedience trials.

Flick's background of dogs originally started with Breeding and Showing Alaskan Malamutes and also security dog training with her working line German shepherds. Her knowledge of dog behaviour and training is always increasing and she has gained this knowledge from her experience over the years of working different types of dogs and also spending time in America with the native wolves, learning all about their behaviour and social heirachy.

She has fast become a valued employee with Oz Wagtails and has gained not only the respect of the dogs but customers and staff as well.

Michiko was first introduced to Oz Wagtails some 5 years ago on work experience from Japan learning about dog training. A former vet nurse in Japan, Michiko wanted to expand her knowedge in the areas of Training and Grooming. Her goal was to be a better dog handler and understand dog behaviour. On completion of her traineeship, Michiko went back to Japan and was told if she ever came to live here in Australia a job would await her. 2 years later, Michiko was working for Oz Wagtails in Australia and has completed a grooming course to add another service to the Oz Wagtails' list. Combined daycare and grooming, Michiko is a perfectionist, seeking a very professional attitude towards our clients in providing them the best grooming service for their dogs.

Rhiannon is our newest member and although the youngest member, she has a talent with dogs and with the assistance from Tabitha & Flick, she will become a great asset to Oz Wagtails. A very confident dog handler, from her experience with German Shepherds in the show ring from puppies through to Adult. Rhiannon is increasing her knowledge in areas of dog training and behaviour by undertaking a Dog Trainer/Instructor course at Oz Wagtails.
